CHARITABLE GIVING
Contribution to the Charitable Trust Fund is an expectation of livery membership, although the amount is at the discretion of the member. The donation can be a single payment each year, or monthly by Direct Debit. The amounts here are suggestions, but any amount may be donated.
Please do not forget to tick the Gift Aid box if appropriate if you are paying your donation as an individual. Where possible we would greatly appreciate donations to be paid by the individual via direct debit so that Gift Aid can be claimed by the Charitable Trust. A downloadable Gift Aid form is also attached below. Please complete it and email it to [email protected].
Direct debits (monthly) may be set up below.

Legacy Giving
We would ask members to consider leaving a legacy to either the Company, one of it's two Charities - the Charitable Trust and the Temple Bar Trust, or a combination of all three.
Based upon current legislation, such gifts would be free of inheritance tax.
We try to keep our quarterage rates as low as possible, but the future security of the Company and the support that has been possible from the two Company charities, has been helped enormously in the past by the generosity of members who are no longer with us, but generously made provisions in their wills.
If you feel this is something you would consider, we can help with the appropriate wording - see below.
Please email [email protected] if you would like to discuss
The following wording for an appropriate clause in the member’s Will is suggested:
At the date of my death, I give to [select one or all of the below and insert the amount]:
the Trustees of The Company of Chartered Architects Charitable Trust Fund (Registered Charity No 1202895) the sum of £……
the Trustees of the Temple Bar Trust (Registered Charity No 1185076) the sum of £……
The Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects, which was founded in 1984 and received Royal Charter in 2019, the sum of £……
and I declare that the receipt of the Clerk or other authorised official of the said entity shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my Executors.
