Tate+Co employs 12 architects and assistants who are passionate makers and designers. They create sustainable buildings for clients like the Eden Project, The National Trust and the Habitat First Group, working in the overlap between analogue and digital.
This visit will be led by Jerry Tate, Laurence Pinn, Andy Baker-Falkner and Jolene Hor, who will introduce their approach to designing low-carbon buildings in sensitive heritage and landscape settings. This will be illustrated through project examples of The Eden Project, York St John University Creative Centre and Cranleigh Preparatory School. There will be particular focus on the need to work across multiple mediums, including sketching and model-making, to form a rich design process. The practice fosters a collaborative approach with expert specialists and landscape architects to ensure built outcomes that have a positive impact.
