"Are you attending this year's Show? Temple Bar is strategically located close to St Paul’s Cathedral where the Lord Mayor stops for a blessing!
For families attending we will open Temple Bar for members for their picnic lunches.
I've attended the Show every year since our children were small and over the years we were able to find a picnic space in chambers in Middle Temple. Temple Bar provides an even better and convenient location - these days for the grandchildren. It also avoids the nightmare of trying to find a table in any of the local restaurants at such a busy time.
The procession sets off from Mansion House at 11am and arrives at St Paul’s 12 minutes later. The Mayor’s Coach gets there at 12:08. It waits there for a few minutes while the new Lord Mayor receives a blessing before setting off for the Law Courts for lunch.
We will just provide tables and chairs - you bring your own food and drink. We’ll open up at 10.30 so you can drop off your food and find a good spot to watch the Lord Mayor arrive at St Paul’s.
Please let us know if you wish to book a table by emailing Grant Smith, Temple Bar Outreach Officer.
There is no charge for this, but a contribution to the Temple Bar Charity would be very welcome."
